DOP Jumilla Educator Course
An Exclusive Educational Programme for WSET
The Protected Designation of Origin Jumilla is pleased to announce the launch of its second Certified DOP Jumilla Educator Course, an educational initiative of excellence aimed at WSET-certified educators from around the world.
The Regulatory Council of the DOP Jumilla, in collaboration with WSET Global, reaffirms its commitment to delivering the highest-quality training within the wine sector. This programme represents a key step in our mission to position Jumilla as an international benchmark for the production of wines of exceptional quality.
Why DOP Jumilla?
Our region, with 22,700 hectares of vineyards spread across Castilla-La Mancha and the Region of Murcia, forms one of the most established Designations of Origin in south-eastern Spain, renowned for the quality of its wines. A place to lose yourself among mysterious landscapes and unique vineyards, and to encounter open, optimistic and deeply hospitable people. This is the character of those who live within the DOP Jumilla territory, which includes six municipalities in Albacete — Hellín, Fuenteálamo, Ontur, Tobarra, Albatana and Montealegre del Castillo — and Jumilla, the only municipality belonging to the Region of Murcia.
What Makes Us Unique
We are History
Historical references to vine cultivation in the area date back over 5,000 years.
We are Territory
A supra-regional Designation of Origin spanning two Autonomous Communities: Castilla-La Mancha and the Region of Murcia.
We are Organic
Our vineyards benefit from the art of organic farming — a practice we learned to develop more than 2,000 years ago.
